Visitors coming to York by car are recommended to avoid the city centre and approach via the A64.
Turn off at either the A19 York or A1079 York exits, which are marked University and University Science Park.
Subsequent turns are also signposted.
Should you end up in the city centre, head out of York either south on the A19 Selby road
or east on the A1079 Hull road and follow the University and University Science Park signs.
Travelling To Vita Nuova By Rail
As you would expect from a city with such important historical ties to the railway system, train
services to York are extremely good.
York is located on the main East Coast Line from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh.
Fast trains leave from both north and south at frequent intervals.
Services also operate across the Pennines between York, Leeds and Manchester Airport
and from the West Country via Birmingham.

The University Science Park is about two miles from the railway station and you are advised to
catch a taxi or bus to complete the journey (see below).

Manchester International Airport is two hours drive from York.
